One of our stand out Christchurch projects continues to be recognised, the following part article was recently published:
Article by Viv Hardie, Team Leader Facilities Management
“The New Zealand Green Building Council (NZGBC) has confirmed that our Civic Offices at 53 Hereford Street have attained a Six Green Star rating for our interior fit-out. The Technical Review Committee approved our Interiors submission on Thursday, 22 March, awarding a weighted score of 78 points. NZGBC said
“This project also achieved the highest ever Round 1 score, which reflects the huge effort undertaken by the project team to deliver a submission of such a high standard”.
Marcus Read of RCP must be acknowledged for the enormous amount of work he put in to collate the mountains of technical data required to complete our submission. Without his passion and dedication we would have struggled hugely.
What makes this award so special is that this is our third Six Green Star rating. We have previously been awarded maximum ratings for Design and As Built. Hereford Street is now the first and only building in New Zealand to be awarded what the Project Team refer to as the Triple Crown.”
