Growing up in Christchurch, Kris went on to study civil engineering at Canterbury university. As his career progressed, he soon developed a keen interest in project management, and he hasn’t looked back.
With particular expertise in the healthcare and commercial development sectors, Kris brings a deep understanding of vertical structures, building services and architecture in terms of the critical elements of a building’s delivery. He recently joined RCP to support with the new Dunedin Hospital and is leading the design management for the inpatient building.
Kris is passionate about the delivery of projects. He adeptly applies structure and process to ensure that the design and construction phases can be as streamlined and seamless as possible. He is skilled at establishing a clear project brief then assembling a go-to team with the ability to execute the plan. Kris is known for his hands-on approach to leadership, working as part of the team and leading by example.
This is Kris’ second stint at RCP. He completed an earlier tour of duty from 2011 to 2015, focusing on delivering a range of projects, including the University of Auckland Science Centre, North Shore Hospital Theatre Refurbishments and the Taranaki DHB Clinical Services Building.
Kris lives near the beach in Sumner with his wife and their two young children, and a couple of beagles. When time allows, he loves to surf.
