RCP was the Project and Design Managers and Engineer to the Contract for the refurbishment and reconfiguration of existing Council housing for 192 units. This $25.5million project for WCC was successfully delivered on time in August 2012, meeting scope, budget and quality expectations.
Key to the success of this project was the development of a realistic and robust scope, programme and budget established at the outset of the project, which was regularly reviewed and tracked by RCP. This provided clarity and forward planning as well as the appropriate phasing and sequencing of construction works to enable staged handovers for occupancy at the completion of respective phases. The project was delivered without any serious health and safety incidents. This is testament to RCP’s approach to Health and Safety which is to implement (together with the design consultants and contractors) health and safety principles and their relationship with quality early on, such that one aspect supports the outcomes for the other with buy in from the entire project team.
