The surrounding building is landscaped and designed purposely with outdoor facilities to accommodate events and functions including external kitchen, staging area and amphitheatre.
RCP was engaged at the developed design stage and was responsible for providing design, health and safety, programming and risk management, and developing the staged consent and procurement strategy. This was while also concurrently undertaking the demolition management of the existing building and separate enabling works package, and the following main contract administration services.
The demolition and construction were delivered amongst a live student campus environment, with a new home now created for the University of Canterbury students.
